Don't Miss Out on Specialty Training Opportunities!
The North Carolina Provider Outreach and Education (POE) team of CIGNA Government Services is pleased to continue our Summer-long Specialty Workshop Series with a "Physical Therapy Specialty" workshop on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Airport Marriott in Greensboro, North Carolina. This workshop is scheduled from 8am-11am ET, with sign-in beginning at 7:30am ET.
Topics to be covered in this workshop include:
- Medicare coverage and billing guidelines for Physical Therapy services
- Extension of Therapy Cap Exceptions
- Proper use of the revised Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN)
- Principles of medical record documentation
- Common coding, billing, and documentation errors and resolutions
We will continue our Specialty-focused educational series with an "Evaluation and Management (E/M)" Workshop on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Airport Marriott in Greensboro, North Carolina. This workshop is scheduled from 1:30 - 4:30 pm ET, with sign-in beginning at 1:00 pm ET. This training is recommended for the following specialists and their staff:
- Internal Medicine
- Family/ General Practitioners
- Non-Physician Practitioners (i.e., PAs, NPs)
- Specialists who commonly render E/M services in the office or facility setting
- Auxiliary Personnel rendering "incident to" services
Be sure to register early for these classes if you intend to participate, as seating is limited. Once registration has reached capacity, the workshops will be closed.
