HIPAA Testing Packets
Downloading your testing packet from the CIGNA Government Services Web Site can get you through the testing process faster. Detailed instructions on how to conduct the testing process are provided within the packet. While you are obtaining the appropriate passwords and mailbox numbers, your team can be entering the test claim information into your system. We suggest you use this time to review the testing instructions and contact your CIGNA Government Services EDI department at the customer service number included in your testing packet if you have any questions.
- New electronic submitters may only test on the HIPAA format.
- New electronic submitters may only go into production on the HIPAA format.
- Current electronic submitters may not begin testing or submitting inbound claims for any new providers in other than the HIPAA-compliant format.
